Hey everyone! 🙂 Did you all have a good weekend? Mine was actually pretty boring, since I wasn’t feeling well at ALL, and spent most of my time laying on the couch 😛 I did quite a bit of reading, sleeping, and watching a “Sex & the City” marathon that didn’t end for 2 days! lol 😛 But it wasn’t so bad, I probably would have stayed at home even if I hadn’t been sick because it rained all weekend here!
The only thing I’m a little bit disappointed about is that I didn’t have a chance to take some new candids for my blog 🙁 … but I’m sure I will get TONS this summer! Oh right, speaking of summer… it’s June tomorrow! I was beginning to feel like June was never going to get here, I’ve been waiting to launch my new site for so long! I’m really happy that it’s finally almost time! 🙂
However, I still can’t release an exact launch date yet, unfortunately. Things are coming along really well though, I’ve got all of the content I need and 99% finalized the designs for both the tour & member’s area, as well as for my new affiliate program.
Yep, that’s right, I’m starting my own affiliate program!! 8) That was the other “project” I’ve been working on for the past couple months 😉 I’ll be sharing more details with you all once it’s 100% ready, so stay tuned! 8)
Apparently, installing the affiliate software is a little more complex than I realized, which is basically the only major hold-up right now. But no worries, I still definitely plan to launch at some point in June! 😉
I just wanted to say thank you once again to everyone for being so patient & supportive, and I’m super excited to be launching in the very near future!! Hope you’re all ready to come visit me in AndiLand! 😉 😛
**UPDATE** For those who asked, “What’s an Affiliate Program??”
Well, in a nutshell, affiliate programs are extremely useful for promotion & networking. Basically, when someone becomes an affiliate, they will advertise AndiLand to try to generate traffic to my site, and hopefully I’ll get some new members from that traffic. 😉 When people sign up for AndiLand through an affiliate, we pay them (the affiliate) a % of that sale, because if it weren’t for their advertising, the New Member may never have found AndiLand. (Not EVERYONE knows that I exist, you know.. LOL :P) This is why you can google basically anyone in this industry and find tons of “Free Hosted Galleries” all over the place. These sites/links are all operated by affiliates 😉
So, the affiliate program is set up to keep track of the amount of sales/traffic we get from each affiliate, so that we know how much to pay them 😉 It can get a little tricky, because affiliates can even refer OTHER affiliates to my program, and get a % of those sales too.. kind of like a pyramid deal. The program is also where the affiliate can access my Free Galleries (a sample of what’s available on AndiLand.com.. that’s usually what I’m working on when I tweet about “making thumbs for promo galleries” ;)) and use them to promote me 🙂
My old site was under the PanchoDog affiliate program, along with many other sites. I didn’t want AndiLand to end up on a similar program, where it might be lumped in with a bunch of random sites where the girls probably aren’t even active anymore, so I decided that the best course of action would be to create my own program 😉
I hope this makes sense to everyone, I tried to simplify it a bit rather than drone on with an in-depth explanation, Lol 😛
